We'd almost completed our winter clean of the Hall at Blackwell but saved some work for a staff work day scheduled just before the house re-opened for the new season. Staff from all areas had training in basic condition checking, dusting and buffing selected areas of Blackwell's iconic panelling.
Everyone worked hard, with great care and attention to detail, and we were all proud of the results and more than ready for a delicious Blackwell lunch.
It was lovely to receive this comment from one participant afterwards:
'I really enjoyed the morning cleaning at Blackwell - best bit was that you could see the difference after such a short time. It was a real sense of achievement'
